Meet nojac!
Nojac is a funk/soul group from San Bernardino that performs all across Southern California. The band was started in 2019 and has grown tremendously since then. Nojac is now comprised of 12 members, featuring an amazing hornline. The group plays nostalgic tunes from your favorite classic artists such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and Tower of Power. Nojac is able to capture the nostalgia of the 60’s and 70’s while still bringing something fresh and new to the table. The rhythm section features John Becker on drumset, Jan Sarabia on bass guitar, Andrea Rodriguez and Zach Gutierrez on guitar, and Julia Vesa on keyboard. The hornline features Brianna Rodriguez and Scott Urrutia on trumpet, Luisxavier Diaz and Jazmin Garache on tenor sax, and Nathaniel Maldanado on bari sax. These amazing players are led by the very talented Rebecca Jiron and Jhumaani Chess, the lead singers of the band.
Nojac has played at venues such as the The Canyon Club in Montclair, the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center, National Orange Show, Beaumont Cherry Festival, and more, opening for bands such as Tierra, Led Zepagain, Plain White T’s, Prince Tribute Band, and so much more! Nojac would like to invite you to time travel all the way back to the 1970’s to enjoy the fun and groovy music from that era so keep a look out for their upcoming events!
