Timber Skies
Timber skies is...
the Teen Music Workshop's newest band formed in March of 2017. They are composed of five members ages 16 to 20. Many of the members are multi-instrumentalists and everyone makes contributions while writing songs. Since the band is so new, they have not yet established a genre. However, they draw inspiration from a variety of artists from different genres. So far they have played at The Basement as well as the San Bernardino Art Night and upcoming is the Yucaipa Festival.
First off we have Dominic Light! Dominic is 20 years old, he is a bassist and vocalist for the band. He spends most of his free time writing, producing, and teaching music. He practically breathes music. His influences include SayWeCanFly, Mayday Parade, and Never Shout Never. Dominic is currently a full time college student, and wants to produce and perform music for a living.
Next up is Diego Garza! Diego is one of the band's many multi-instrumentalists. This 17-year-old spends his time constantly strumming his guitar or working on new beats. Currently he's playing lead guitar with varied influences like Brand New, Lewis Del Mar, King Krule, Mac Demarco, and Childish Gambino.
Meet Christopher Windley! He is 16 years old, and he plays rhythm guitar in Timber Skies. For years he has been inspired by multiple artists/bands, such as Simple Plan, P!nk, Shawn Mendes and Paramore. His hobbies include writing and playing music, video games, as well as exploring new parts of his hometown.
This is Mikarah Johnsen! She is 17 years old. Her job in the band is to sing, along with play the keyboard. Her inspirations consist of: Adele, Hillsong United, Carrie Underwood, Fleetwood Mac, Brandi Carlile etc, and on a more personal note, her voice inspiration comes from her Aunt- Tonya Mace. Her hobbies are mostly music based- dance, piano, leading worship at her church, and listening to music. However, you can't forget how much she loves to hunt and fish.
Meet Anastasia Skye Bolter the band's drummer! She is 17 years old and the band's newest member. Artists she draws inspiration from are Melanie Martinez, Alessia Cara, System of a down, and Coheed and Cambria. Her hobbies include playing piano, singing, drumming, and spending time with her family.
